David Frank - Administration Director

I am a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, performing many administration functions, IT and Personnel, Marketing. Basically I am the �monkey catcher�; monkeys being problems.

I am very passionate about Scarborough being born and bred with a long family history in the town, especially the Crown Spa Hotel, Scarborough�s first built hotel. One of my Great Great Granddads ship masts is holding up the very centre of the building, which helps fuel my passion for the Crown Spa.

In the last 8 years the team has invested over �8m on capital works and very many man hours of careful thought and action to make the Crown Spa Hotel Scarborough�s highest graded hotel on the Yorkshire Coast, this could not have been done without the people in the team and a bold clear central vision to be Scarborough�s Preferred Destination Spa Hotel. We also recently won "Yorkshire Moors and Coast" Hotel of the Year 2007-2008 Award.

We are presently the only hotel in the area with the Investors In People Standard and are a national award winner for the Excellence Through People award; we were up against some of the "big industry players" in this award!

Outside work I love the beach and sea. If you are coming to stay and want a surf report just call and ask for me. I surf (6.1 classic Rocket; though less these days as my knees are a bit shot!) and body board (Ben Player 42� pro board and a 41\" Cartel Drop Knee Board), enjoy calisthenics and running (normally 6-7k�s).
I keep chickens, grow my own veg!
