Vicky Riley - Human Resource Manager

I graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University with a Degree in Hospitality Management and then moved to Scarborough to be a Duty Manager at the Hotel St Nicolas. I stayed there for approximately 1 year and then moved back over the border to West Yorkshire. I worked at a couple of restaurants, before moving back to Scarborough with my husband in 2001. I was Assistant Manager at the Wrea Head Hotel for 3 � years, before joining the team at the Crown Spa Hotel in October 2003. I came here as the Food and Beverage Manager and built up a good team in the bars and restaurant. In November 2006 I went on maternity leave and returned in June 2007 as the Human Resources Manager.

I am proud to say I work at the Crown Spa Hotel. We have a good team, work in the highest rated hotel in Scarborough and it�s a beautiful hotel. Not many of my friends from my university days can say they have such great panoramic sea views from their hotels�!

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, keeping fit and travelling the world. I also enjoy fine food and eating out, but that�s part of the job when you are married to a chef.
